This is the image I have been working on for the image that will be at the back of the CD case. I wanted this image to continue with the black and white theme. However for the back cover I felt it would be better to have a less 3D photo. The simplicity of this image therefore works well. It also made it easier to fit in the bill board with the band picture in.
When I initially saw the picture of the band I was desperate to fit it in somewhere in the art work because it was so full of energy and movement. I initially had the whole back tray black and white, apart from that image, which was in colour. After sorting feedback I was suggested that perhaps making the image look as if it was real, I could make it fit in with the black and white sketch, and this has worked, and looks far better in my opinion.
Above is the original screen shot from the band footage.
Above is the edited image of the band performance that is in-keeping with the rest of the art work.
THis is looking good. I see that you have changed the coloured billboard to black and white in PhotoShop. You tell me that you have also made a mock-up of the whole CD in real life. I also look forward to seeing the final photo of the band member in the digipack.
ReplyDeleteYou sought feedback from a DJ as well as other people on the digipack design last week. The feedback was positive so you are pursuing the sketch book style.
